TXTbooks & Friends' Rolling Studio Sale
What is this?
Our friends (and us) -- we all accumulate lots of original art that has no place to go. Instead of letting them sit on our shelves/flatfiles, we thought it'd be nice to release them to the world.
We were gearing up to do twice-yearly studio sales before COVID-19 hit, where we'd invite friends to bring pieces. This is an attempt at that energy, hopefully chiller.
When will these happen?
We will launch miniature studio sales sporadically, likely every few months. Most likely with very little warning and with only a few pieces.
Who gets the money?
Some items are sold to fundraise for txtbooks directly, other pieces are sold with all funds going to the artist who made the piece(s). Art with asterisks after their names (*) will be shipped/handled by the artist who produced them.
How does this work?
Instead of buying instantly, each piece is listed on a first-come-first-serve request-to-buy basis. This is to gauge interest and negotiate pickup or shipping terms before processing payment. Once we've reached terms, we will generate an invoice for you. Atleast, this is how we are going to try it. If this works awefully then we will just go button-to-purchase mode.
Do you ship? Or do I Pickup? What?
Shipping and Pickup is on a piece-by-piece basis. Smaller pieces are pretty easy to ship, but given their "original" nature can be reserved for pickup or mailed according to your desires. Larger pieces and ceramics are probably less forgiving to ship, so plan accordingly. Use ur gourd!
Is shipping additional?
Unfortunately, yes! But generally for smaller pieces they will be around roughly $10-$15 USD within the U.S.
TL:DR Email us if you are interested in something. Make sure to include artist name and title of piece. We'll pursue on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Feel free to email with questions!
